The Kilt Walk 2009

SATURDAY 22nd AUGUST 2009

Join us for The Rock Trust Kilt Walk! It's a sponsored walk with a difference for all the family where you can proudly wear your kilt, or flash some tartan along with hundreds of other tartan-clad walkers, on a 5km route around some of Scotland's most famous sights.

Starting and finishing at the Ross Theatre in Edinburgh's West Princes Street Gardens, the route loops round the Gardens, past the back of Edinburgh Castle, before dropping back down to the finish directly below the mighty Castle ramparts.

MAKE A TRULY SCOTTISH DAY OF IT!

The build up to the Walk will begin at 11am with a ceilidh.  No need to do stretches to warm up, a quick Gay Gordons will soon get you limbered up!

The Kilt Walk will take place between 12 and 1pm, and a host of entertainment will be on offer on return to the Ross Theatre, including performances from the Commotion Women Drummers and Cantara.

Your Registration fee includes:

- a secured place on the Kilt Walk

- Unique event T-shirt

- Free admission to the pre-walk ceilidh

- A Scottish themed goodie bag

- And most importantly, the chance to raise much needed funds

  for a great local charity!
